I was approached with the opportunity to host a community osu! tournament; Osu! is an online video game. Despite not having hosting a tournament before I took up the task to build core skills and experience. I created the branding, organized a team, secured sponsors, and ensured that the player experience would be the priority.
What did I have to work with?

Our tournament staff is small but mighty! We have 10 core people that have many responsibilities within the tournament.
Community
With this tournament being our 3rd iteration, we already had a small community of around 50-100 people who look forward to our tournaments. I wanted to make this number grow.
Passion
Everyone I worked with and myself are happy to be making
tournaments. We want to give back to the community.
